- It is important to be aware that hot water entering the house should not be hotter than 50ºC. Thus, tempering valves should be fitted to prevent scolding. Tempering valves are required by law through the plumbing code of Australia issued by the government/a plumbing requirement by law. As its name states, the Rheem Stellar® Electric Stainless Steel unit has a stainless steel cylinder compared to the conventional vitreous enamel cylinders. Opting for a stainless steel cylinder can save you money long term. This is due to its high thermal efficiency, purity, durability, and performance. This hot water system is available in popular sizes of 80 litre, 125 litre, 160 litre, 250 litre, and 315 litre models.
